Who is an Exceptional American?

You are, and so am I, if (big IF here) you choose to be. Now listen, this is not at all intended to be a pretentious statement, nor is it singularly male centric, even though that is my obvious targeted audience. We as Christian men (and yes, women) live in the most amazing country on the planet. We have freedom, potential, and choices like no other people can lay claim to.

Our faith is a central part of how this nation was formed, and should play a central part in how we live. Not a Christian? Not a problem. You are welcome here as well, to join in the conversation, and to learn a different point of view than you have probably heard.

American Exceptionalism is not this country lording its superiority over the other nations, just because we are American. American Exceptionalism is acknowledging our unique opportunities that we commonly enjoy despite the oppressive conditions that people endure in the other countries around the world. Our Christian faith has played a massive role in establishing this truth.

Being an Exceptional American man is, and should be, a point of pride. This is not a politically correct point of view. No shit. I believe that we men have been backed into the proverbial corner by nutty, extreme feminism, culture war, and in some ways, even the Church. Many men simply don’t know what it even means to be a real man. Christian men are not too up front about their beliefs, their principles, their faith, their weaknesses, and even their strengths. Pastors are confused about how to deal with the culture in the world that surrounds them and their congregation. Fathers have a difficult time relating to their wives and children. Young men have no one to look to, to show them how living an authentic, masculine, Christian life is supposed to be lived.

Well brothers, the line is now drawn. I am having no more of it! We will deal with all of these things together. We will set the tone, lead the charge, and re-create for the world to see, The Exceptional American Man.
